Collins and Collins v. Claypole

Claypole sued Collins in the Madison County Circuit Court in an action of trespass quare clausum fregit for taking away certain livestock. The jury ruled for Claypole, and Collins appealed the judgment to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court affirmed the judgment.



Randolph County v. Jones

Jones had agreed to pay $125 to Randolph County help build a court house. Jones failed to pay, and Randolph County sued him in an action of trespass on the case. The jury found for Randolph County for $125. The parties agreed to take the case to the Supreme Court to answer the question whether the case can proceed. The Supreme Court decided that the case cannot proceed.
